Deposit and cancellation charges

A deposit of one night’s accommodation is required at the time of booking. Payment may be made by credit/debit card or cheque. This deposit is refunded if cancellation is received 24 hours before the date of arrival. If bookings are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice no refund is given. We do not accept American Express or Maestro cards.

All bookings are subject to a cancellation charge of one night’s accommodation if cancellation is received with less than 24 hours notice. This also applies to the non-arrival of guess. We reserve the right to take payment from your credit card.

Balance payments

The balance is payable on arrival and may be made by cash or credit/debit card. We no longer accept cheques for balance payments.

Check in times

We are a small establishment and we don’t have a 24 hour reception. We therefore ask you to check in between 4pm and 8pm. There will be an extra charge of £5 for check-in before 4pm or after 10pm and this must be agreed before arrival. Rooms are not available for occupation until after 1pm. Guests wishing to leave their luggage while their room is being prepared may do so but entirely at their own risk.  Management do not take responsibility for the loss or theft of guests’ luggage or property left unattended.

Check out times

We ask that guests check-out before 10.30am so that the room can be prepared for new guests. Late check-out up to 12pm is possible but must be agreed on arrival and there will be an extra charge of £5 for this. Guests wishing to check out after 12pm will be charged for another night’s accommodation.  

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited everywhere in the house. Smokers may smoke responsibly in the grounds.

Damage to property

We ask that you take care when staying in our home as we will hold you responsible for any breakages or damage. Please let us know immediately of any incidents when and if they occur. We will not make a charge for minor breakages or damage if it is accidental. However, if the damage or breakage is significant or intentional, we will ask for payment. We reserve the right to take payment from your credit card.
